Life at School

Hello Parents, It has been a great start in Pre K!  We will be working on learning our daily schedule and classroom routines.  There is a copy of our daily schedule in your Parent handbook to refer to as needed.  Most of the students are excited about coming to school and learning new things, however, a few may require more coaching to come to school without tears, but that is to be expected because it may be their first experience in a classroom setting with a lot of other friends.  If your student travels in carpool, it will be very helpful if you allow them to walk to the cafeteria by themselves in the morning. During carpool there are teachers that will assist with students getting in and out of their vehicles; however, you are responsible for buckling your child into their safety seat.   This will teach them great independence that is needed to become more responsible for their needs in our classroom and at home.

Lunch money

For our age group, it’s a good idea to prepay for lunch as it difficult for young students to keep up with money, however if you need to send in lunch money there will be an envelope marked lunch money for you to send money.

Please send lunch money daily or go to our website to pay for lunch in advance.

Students without paid lunch will be provided with fruits and vegetables only and this very difficult for young children to understand.

Snack

Please send a snack daily with your child.

Extra Clothes

Please send in a complete set of extra clothes if you have not already sent them in.  Label all articles of clothing with your child’s name

Weekly folders

We will be sending home weekly folders every Wednesday starting next week. (Large brown folder) This folder will have any information for families, and student’s work.  Please take out all material inside and return the folder the next day.

Special Note:

Parents please be reminded that our classroom is a designed as a learning environment. Please remember that bringing toys or stuffed animals to school is not allowed unless requested for special days.

NO Medication of any kind should be sent to school in your child's backpack. All medications should be taken to the front office!
